Svyatoslav Ihorovych (Horobry) was the Grand Duke of Kyiv (945-972).  He is known for his persistent campaigns in the east and south, which precipitated the collapse of two great powers in Eastern Europe, Khazaria and the First Bulgarian Empire. He conquered numerous East Slavic tribes, defeated the Alans and attacked the Volga Bulgars, and at times was allied with the Pechenegs and Magyars (Hungarians).  This 3D model is a request for a historical reconstruction of the image of Prince Svyatoslav based on a description. Leo the Deacon left a colorful description of Sviatoslav's appearance when he met Emperor Tsymyshy after the conclusion of peace.
