Interview with Hank

Interview with Hank

"Hi, I'm Shahina, live for tonight's Halloween interview with the crypt keeper, Mr. Hank. Thank you for joiningAAAAAHHHHH!!!" her microphone distorts as the scream rips through the air, eyes locked on the camera.
"Keep it rolling!" the director shouts from off screen.
Mr. Hank, who is obviously a skeleton, leans into the frame with a cheerful "Cheers!" and flashing a peace sign. His other cold, bony hand wraps around Shahinas head, pulling her closer for the shot. "I appreciate the intro, but you dont have to scream so loud" Hank says and backing away with a clattering chuckle.
Shahina finally manages to quit screaming, her face pale as she stares.
"You... youre... a skeleton!" she blurts.
The skeleton pauses, tilting his skull thoughtfully. "Well, of course I am. Isnt that why youre here tonight?"
Shahina stammers, still wide eyed but trying to regain her composure. "I, uh, I didnt realize I was... interviewing someone so... dead."
Mr. Hank chuckles, his bony shoulders rattling with each laugh. "Ah, dead? I prefer to think of it as eternally at rest. Makes the job easier, tooless stress, no more... you know, flesh problems."
The camera zooms in, catching Shahinas hand gripping her plastic flashlight tightly. "Rrrright. So, Mr. Hank, tell us... whats it like... managing a crypt?"
Mr. Hank leans closer, his skull tilting as if contemplating. "Oh, its a grave responsibility" he says winking, well, as much as a skeleton can wink. "You gotta keep things lively you know? Spirits high. Sometimes I host a bone chilling poker night, but its tough when everyone just folds." He lets out another hearty laugh, his jaw clattering in rhythm.
Shahina attempts a shaky smile inching subtly away from the crypt keeper. The directors laughter can be heard faintly off screen, like this surreal horror was just another quirky segment. "Well, uh... thank you, Mr. Hank. Thats... certainly enlightening" she says, her eyes darting nervously as if searching for an escape..
