Hey there! I'm really excited to share that I've finally completed my work on Renderhub's contest project.
Creating this piece was not just an art project for me; it was an emotional adventure. From the moment I decided to depict Marlis, the fairy of the trees, I felt a connection with her as if she had come to life and was communicating with me. I completed this work in just 15 / 20 days, but every moment was filled with love and care. Each leaf and beam of light in this image represents a part of my dream to bring to life a creature from the realm of fairy tales.
I chose the name Marlis for this piece because it means fairy of the trees in German, as i searched. This name felt like the perfect fit, capturing the characters deep connection to nature and the magical beings of the forest. Marlis really brings out the fantasy vibe I wanted for this work, making you feel the harmony between the fairy and her woodland
Winning this competition means so much to me, not just for myself but for all the effort and passion I poured into this project. I hope Marlis can evoke a deep sense of connection with nature and the enchanting forests in the hearts of the judges and bring you an unforgettable experience from the world of fairy tales.
P.S.: For the lighting effects and the textures of the leaves and plants, I tried to blend realism with a fantasy touch, aiming to capture an image that feels close to the magic of nature itself.
I've included some screenshots of the breakdown so that you can see the process we've been following.
ALSO these are some few screenshots, good news is i've recorded the full process and i will upload a full video on YT
