As you may have noticed, we've been working on some website improvements.
Recently, an Adult Content Consent Gateway has been added to the website.
This gateway requires users to verify their age and consent to viewing adult content.
A logged-in user should only have to consent to this one time. The system will remember the user's preference.
For a non-logged-in user, the preference is remembered throughout the duration of the browser session.
We would appreciate your feedback on this new feature.
Does it function the way you would expect? Would you recommend any changes?

I believe than giving consent is a needed measure.
For example I use my Renderhub on my Mobile and my PC. I don’t want my family members see adult content on PC when I’m not logged in.

Seems to work but I've noticed, at least for me, setting the safesite to adult in the gallery filters out the mature and lower tier renders while setting it to mature lets me see the mature and lower tier renders.
Before the update, I've had the safesite settings to adult and I was able to see all the newest renders in the gallery as they were uploaded to the gallery.

Thu, Nov 21, 2024I'm having that issue too. I upload my renders with the "teen" setting which I assume it is the moderate setting for the gallery. And my posts show up in that category. When I switch to "mature" my posts no longer show up. That's a problem. Each tier should open up more "content", not hide "content" with a lower rating. Right now, anyone browsing the gallery who has it set to "mature" won't ever see my posts. Shouldn't it work in reverse instead? Strict gallery rating should hide my posts, moderate to adult should show it. I shouldn't have to set my posts to "everyone" if there's a teen rating available. And honestly most of my work is no different from what you'd see on a clothing store's Instagram page. So why are "moderate" rated postings not showing up under "mature" gallery view settings?

Fri, Nov 22, 2024I played around with the gallery settings after I posted yesterday. The adult safesite setting are mucked up from before the update yesterday. I had to change mine to mature just to see most of the newer gallery images and even then, I'm not sure if I'm seeing everything. Wish they would just add a "Show All" setting for the people with verified accounts. I'm already pretty much filtering the images I want to look at and the ones I'm not interested in through the thumbnails.

Sat, Nov 23, 2024I just checked and it shows up for me now. But I'm also at home. I'll have to give it another go on the laptop when I'm at work. I doubt it's a browser cache issue, as my browser cache is set to erase when I close it. So it may have been "fixed" or something.

Sun, Nov 24, 2024To be fairish, some of the safesite adult renders that I saw getting bumped to mature probably could have been categorized as mature from the start. I've personally over rated some of mine simply to play it safe.
Anyways, I still think we just need a "Show All" safesite setting for verified accounts.

Mon, Dec 02, 2024I opened a Bluesky account a little over a week ago. One of my first posts was one of my Bianca renders, where she's wearing lingerie. Really not much exposed, and I did look into Bluesky's labels beforehand as the site is a little more tolerant than say.... Facebook. It has a lot more moderation and filtering tools. Within a minute of that one post, Bluesky labeled the post as "adult". Bluesky has millions of accounts and is run by perhaps a dozen people. So this stuff can work. RenderHub is the only gallery I'm having this kind of issue with. I've posted artwork on a ton of sites, including defunct ones like Imagshack and Yahoo Photos. I don't even have these issues on old school forums.

Are you sure it's working that way for you?
The way it is supposed to work is "SafeSite Adult" shows adult and mature content.
I just tested it with multiple test accounts, and it's working that way for me.

I just tested your gallery using multiple test accounts. I see your Teen-Rated submissions when I have SafeSite set to Mature.

Sat, Dec 07, 2024It is working at the moment, but it doesn't always work as intended.
My only complaint is that you probably should just go back to keeping adult content in it's own section. Right now all the adult content has flooded the main DAZ section so if I wanted to see if there is a new figure, scenes or clothing I have to set it back to mature otherwise I'm weeding through a page or two of wet 3D panties and sex poses...

Wed, Dec 04, 2024Sinc ethey can't get the filtering to work properly, this is the way to go. It's a solution I brought up some time ago. Age-gating a domain's subfolders should be cake for a typical web tech.

Wed, Dec 04, 2024I agree. I'd rather keep them separate like it was before for the store. I'm fine with an age confirmation and approving that you want to see adult content, but this is like mixing peanut butter and mayo.
To top it off, I've accept the mature content and set safesite to adult, but I'm not seeing any adult content still.

Thu, Dec 05, 2024Actually it was the https://www.renderhub.com/3d-figures-and-assets that was flooded with adult content/poses, that I had to weed through. It looks like section is better now as it's set on adult but I'm not getting the flooded content until I actually go to the adult section.

Thu, Dec 05, 2024@Renderhub admin1, it showed up eventually, but for a few minutes after it did not show me the mature content section, even after refreshing the tab. I came back about 10 minutes later and refreshed again and it was back.
Are there any other plans to improve the website?

I think the design works well although I've had to set it twice on occasion for the setting to stick.

Just an update to my previous post. I just noticed it happens every time I visit the Marketplace with a clean browser cache. What happens is that when I select the drop-down and choose "Adult", I get the pop-up as expected. If I then confirm that I'm over 18, the pop-up disappears but the drop-down is still set to "Moderate".
I then have to set the drop-down to "Adult" a second time for it to stick. However, there's no pop-up when setting it for the second time, so it's as if the pop-up is having some effect, but is not updating the drop-down.

In the gallery, I can start on the "strict" setting and each escalation adds more images until I reach "mature". While there is some overlap between "mature" and "adult", selecting "adult" does not show everything which is what I expect. Stated a different way, I expect to see all the images from the "mature" gallery AND those marked "adult", this is not the case. Is this an intended behavior... along the lines of 'it's not good to mix puppies & kittens with the p*rn'? Thanks.

What you describe is what's *supposed to* happen. Selecting SafeSite Adult should show only (and all) images that are rated Adult and Mature.
We figured if someone's looking at adult content, they're probably not interested in seeing buildings and landscapes (puppies and kittens).
If this is not the behavior you're experiencing, please send a message to Support with links to the images in question.
We'll definitely want to take a look and fix whatever's causing the unintended behavior.

My logic was a progressive selection from left to right and I hadn't understood that the Adult selection was a separate category.
