Christmas Wardrobe And The Stranger From Mars

Mum who prepared a wardrobe full of presents for her boy on Christmas never expected a visit from a curious martian, who could not resist looking around the house to find out anything he can about an interesting race called "Humans".

so it was 3 a.m when i added the post so i Will go into detail in the comments, The hardest part about this render was for sure a proper lighting and camera settings. I wanted to give it a of a colorful yet sinister tone and for that i used a big amount of volumetric lights which made this render go from rendering in 5 minutes to 2 hours, but oh well. i guess it somewhat payed off
i used two parts of volumetric, one to give it a really smal barely noticable light rays from behind of an alien
and the other one to give it a mist look

adjusting the settings for these were pain in the ass as they were making my renders glitchout at certain parts like that:
and that was such a hard nut to crack to fix it but eventually i did it (though i dont know how), but what would be volumetrics without actual lights? I made like 5-6 different light sources, each with somewhat different color to emitate different states of light bulbs.
each one lightening certain objects to be visible, also to give an alien seem all mighty powerful but at the same time evil, sinister i made the main source of lightening him a light going from the bottom (a common trick used in films)
thou due to that his top of a head was not visible at all which i really didnt want to happen cause i spent too much time sculpting him (even tho you cant see his mouth which i am the most proud of) i gave small lights on top of him.
and well that's all, i won't be going into details of modeling cause one (i didn't make make making of screenshots) and also that would be boring as it was all just a grind work as seen in every other works, I would add that i did some remeshing mostly with Zremesher in zbrush and made some manual changes in blender with the given result. I also used curves to give light bulb cables a path and particle system for a snow in a glass ball..

when it comes to camera i experimented with different lenses, i went from 40mm to 20mm (which i have low quality photo of, and if anyone is curious i can add it here later)
but i ulitmately went with 92mm lens that gave it a perfect distortion of proportion between alien and presents for timmy which i loved cause it gives him vibe of an insurmountable force. Here are the settings i used for the camera.
