Hard To Read Forum Text

The text on this forum is hard to read, as if the font is scaled badly. And no, I'm not using any non-standard monitor settings or weird scaling enabled. I'm positive the problem is coming from this website because other websites look clear on my screen. Here's a screenshot:

Which browser do you use? Which operating system? I can confirm I do not see similar artifacts on my screen, so if it's the website, it's some interaction with some aspect of your setup that's different from mine.

There are no such problems here. I use two different browsers: Firefox (V 133.03) and MS Edge (V 131.02). Which browser do you use? Then you may be able to narrow down the source of the error.

I'm on exactly the same Firefox version as Pushee-Ri, and no problem here either. I've had this problem in the past though, exactly how you describe it and if I recall it had something to do with 'Hardware Accelleration' in the browser settings, but don't quote me on that.

1. Are you having a problem with *only the forum* and not other parts of the website?
2. As the other users suggested, please let us know what browser (and version) you're using.
3. If you can, please try a different browser and let us know if that changes anything.

I had a problem too, unable to connect.
On Edges (latest version)
Chrome (Latest version)
Chrome mobile on Android (latest version)
I got error 504 Gateway Time Out.
And if I managed to connect, the site was frozen, I couldn't do anything.
It seems to be coming back, I sent an email to support earlier today.
Thanks for the responsiveness, it seems to be resolved for me.

Sun, Dec 22, 2024That was an unrelated issue. The server was having a moment of crisis and needed to be restarted.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but it should be back to normal now. Please let us know if you experience any other issues.

My main browser is Firefox v115 (64-bit). Can't update it further. I have Chrome installed, and the text come out clear, so I'm guessing it has something to do with non-standard forum fonts and Firefox browser settings. But, as I mentioned, this happens on Renderhub only. Renderhub uses this font everywhere too, so I see the same problem on the main page, the forums, etc.. So, I guess I'm stuck with it.

I have Firefox installed and I just tested it, but I don't have the same version which is nevertheless up to date...

I'm on Chrome at the moment and no such weirdness with the text. I've never seen that.

Firefox has a built-in debugger. I can edit the webpage in memory and remove a font style called "rhfont" (RenderHub Font). Everything becomes clear again.
font: 14px rhfont, arial, sans-serif;
Some error messages:
The resource at "https://www.renderhub.com/rhfont.woff2" preloaded with link preload was not used within a few seconds. Make sure all attributes of the preload tag are set correctly.
The resource at "https://www.renderhub.com/rhfont-bold.woff2" preloaded with link preload was not used within a few seconds. Make sure all attributes of the preload tag are set correctly.
So, for some reason, my Firefox has issues with this custom font.

@samurle - Thanks for all the information you provided.
I have opened a bug report to see if the tech people can implement a fallback for older browser versions.
I linked to this forum thread for their review.
@EveryoneElse - Thank you all for jumping in here to offer assistance and feedback. Much appreciated!

There's a fix for the client end in old Firefox versions. I had to do it like..... 4 years ago? Or something. Perhaps it was longer ago than that. It's a certain setting in about:config.
If you need to run an "ancient" version of Firefox I suggest you grab the LTS client instead.
