GLBLagerthas Ascension To Valhalla (CLOSED)
200
Why not enter this amazing art contest? That was my first thought, and then I realized I needed a unique, original concept to truly stand out. I decided to bring one of my original characters to life... Lagertha, the Viking Queen, a character I share with the RenderHub community. When it comes to winter fantasy, what could be better than a series of Viking scenes featuring the legendary shield-maiden Lagertha?
This is the first of four renders in my concept of Lagertha's Ascension to Valhalla, a narrative following her journey after a heroic death on a snowy winter battlefield.
This particular piece was the most ambitious and time-consuming of the series. To achieve this scene, I used forced perspective techniques in DAZ Studio and ported a custom Viking battlefield outfit. The outfit features dForce-enabled physics for the skirt, along with multiple PJCM morphs I modeled in Blender to ensure dynamic movement. I plan to share this outfit with the RenderHub community soon.
If time permits, Ill be submitting the other three renders before the contest deadline, but for now, I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Thank you, and good luck to all the other artists! DW
