Veni Vidi Captum

I Came, I Saw, I am Captured.
The tale of a Father who wanted to impress his son with wings from the Gods as a gift. Upon arriving at the tavern where his 4 sons were playing chess, the Gods above sent forth an avalanche to destroy the tavern. The wings the Father stole were doomed to trap whomever stole them, in the place they were meant to die. Now, we see 4 chess pieces, which hold the spirits of the 4 sons. The Dragon Piece for the Eldest and Bravest Son; The Queen Piece for the Son who last thought of his Mother as the Avalanche hit; The Dice Piece for the Boy who never lost a game; The Rook Piece for the Impartial one, who aimed to keep peace between the other 3 brothers who had a lot of Pride. The wings are now tapestries representing fools who steal, from places they were never welcome. The lone Queen Piece with wings represents the spirit of the mother, whether she is living or not - the Gods believed that she should get a memoir too. Finally, the Father, who is represented by the snow that killed his most prized creations - his Children. Who no longer live because his gifts aimed far and beyond what he knew.
