GPU Upgrade Question
67Hello,
I plan on upgrading my PC setup soon, but had a question about GPU.
I primarily use C4D + Octane render for my work projects. Right now I have an RTX 4070. Would it be more efficient to combine my 4070 with a new 5080, or to just get a 5090?
Looking at specs, the 5090 will have me at 32gb VRAM and 21k CUDA cores, while the 4070+5080 will be at 28gb VRAM and about 17k CUDA cores. However, I am not sure if this is ALL that matters when it comes to 3D rendering in Octane.
Thanks

One issue that may present itself, is fitting the two cards. The other would be the PSU handling two cards. If it were me I would just go with the 5090, but still, get the measurements and be sure it will fit in your case. I have a giant full tower case, I almost had to cut into the drive bay to get a 4090 to fit. I was able to get it in by removing the PSU and CPU cooler, but it only just fits. Like a few mm space between the card and the drive bay lol.
