When I saw GBJ's Steve this was the first thing that came to mind.

Used the same character twice and then just changed the face and skin, character is slightly toonified (HevieState3D). Neuraliszer substituted with a scifi tool from Daz + a Ghostlight, some Ron's scifi flares and a lens flare from Optics. Glasses are a freebie by kaos, don't remeber the source, though: too much watching the blue light (or old age...).

Since the orignal background seemed to render for ages, I stopped the first attempt and covered the low resolution with a painterly version, which I add for comparison. The space background is closer to the movie poster and in the end I liked the second, "realistic" version better.
