AI-Enhanced 3D Render by maru_berlinNever mind the quality of the image - this is a quick test of Aire, again.
But is the first image the DAZ render - or the "AI-enhanced" version?
And what about the second image? Both have strengths and weaknesses.
Which do you prefer? Or even worse - which do you think represents my "style" better?

I'm inclined to say neither is the AI, unless you have a successful negative prompt not to alter skin texture. The face texture more rough and grainy, than any AI enhancement I have seen.
It looks like an old texture. The G8 and G9 textures don't generally show a pattern like that, nor does real skin.

Tue, Aug 25Although I was tempted to post two regular Daz renders, one of them I rendered indeed with Aire, to find that out. You commented on the skin, in which I invest some work in all characters (G9 actually for as long as this model is on the market). Some vendors really have good skins, but you may want to look at Colm Jacksons skin enhancer.

But basically the base skin of the character is the main key to good skin - I found ISourceTextures, Vicey3D and TriX skins quite good, also to an extent HumanXYStudio (which has disappeard from here); in the end, you get, what you pay for - all these vendors are not on the cheap side.
For aged characters I often use Feng's characters.
For G8 this is quite good: https://www.renderhub.com/cg3/irina-character-mdl-iray-ultimate-simple-skins-shader-v1-0-1 , and their other products, but it was a bummer to install because it takes some tweaking.

I appreciate the detailed response. I was afraid you may have been insulted. For your images I had a really hard time picking the AI enhanced one, thus my conclusion. I can usually recognize an AI image right away, but AIRE has definitely produced better more natural results IMO.
I have Colm's product but haven't used it. I had lost some enthusiasm until AIRE appeared. I have a lot from Luthbellina, but revisit your recommendation. I'll revisit Vicey3D. I do have a couple of their G8 and G9 characters but for some reason their models just don't appeal to me. I have a lot of iSource. Their early texture work (Renderosity) is what caught my eye.

AIRE doesn't produce a more realistic render of our scenes than any other render engines. It uses the IA models (coming from ComfyUI) to reinterpret a picture and generate a new picture which has to be the closest to the original. As the IA data is coming from a HUGE pack of photos and pictures (including IA generated pictures), it gives a very natural result.

As both pictures have been post-processed, we can't recognized the AI produced one only with the photo quality of AIRE...
My two cents: the first one is Daz, the second one is coming from AIRE. My arguments: the skin quality and the hairs on the second picture are coming from an artificially enlarged picture because AIRE is limited in its picture sizes. Furthermore, some pieces of metal have been added to the leather part on the arms.
