Know Your Food
3D Render by dwindtTo enjoy your summer to the highest degree, know what you are eating.
I initially wanted to stet-up and render this scene in Vue. Vue does a great job with under water scenes and there are some useful aquatic plants and coral to use in the eco-system.
I battled with the transparent and alpha planes so much, that eventually I resorted to Daz Studio. I did render a Vue 16:9 image of the floor for use as a backdrop in Daz Studio however, I wasn't getting sufficient light from the reflections of the water surface in the top left corner. So I created an alpha plane of the reflections and added an emission map to it. This worked well enough to be able to contend with the God-rays brightness coming from the top left corner.
The render is a 99% raw iRay render. I created a pattern map of the image and applied it to itself and embossed it in Photoshop.
