Somewhere between the surface and the deep, summer takes on another color.

For this piece, I imagined a summer moment from beneath the surface of the ocean, where the boundary between the world above and the underwater world becomes almost invisible. A surfer passes overhead while a swimmer moves through the water, surrounded by sunlight, caustics, suspended particles, and the distorted world above.

The scene was created primarily in Blender, combining custom modeling, character work, 3D scans, and existing assets. I used Daz 3D for the character and adapted different elements to build the underwater environment.

The final image was rendered in Blender and refined in Adobe Photoshop, where I worked on colour grading, additional lighting, atmospheric effects, and subtle details to enhance the depth and realism of the underwater scene.
