My artwork shows what it would look like if you could physically walk around inside my summer memories. I wanted it to feel like a nostalgic dream. The impossible architecture is inspired by the movie Inception and the artist M.C. Escher. In a dream, you can be in one place and then instantly somewhere else without any explanation. That is why this artwork looks like a crazy, gravity-defying maze. It connects all those warm, happy flashes of summer—like hanging by the pool, riding bikes, and playing outside—into one big, impossible playground of the mind.
