General Xie & General Fan
3D Render by chaoskhan_666A "modern" take on the grim reapers of Chinese mythology, while retaining the main characteristics of these colleagues of Zhong Kui. The duo is also known a "Hei Bai Wu Chang" which means "Black and White Impermanence".
Both were constables in their mortal lives. The King of Hades was impressed by their dedication and utmost loyalty for each other and offered them the law enforcement role in their afterlifes. General Xie Bi An is a tall and skinny man with pale complexion and portrays a stoic look. General Fan Wu Jiu is a stout man with dark skin and has a more fervent look. Other than their expressions and color of their clothes (Xie dresses in white robe and Fan in black), chains is another iconic item incorporated in this piece. Legends said that dead souls will hear the clanging sound of chains, dragging on the floor, before the duo manifest themselves.
