I woke up on the floor, unable to move.

Something was dragging me through the doorway.

I tried to pull myself back. My hands reached for anything they could find, but there was nothing to hold onto.

The room behind me was already littered with the remains of whoever had been here before me.

Then I looked up.

Those eyes were already fixed on me, that smile stretched across its face. It was pulling me into a room full of darkness.

It could phase through the walls so there was no running from it.

For a moment, I couldn't feel my leg. When I stretched my eyes toward it, I saw it torn apart from bone to skin, no longer a part of me.

And as the darkness swallowed me deeper into that room, I realized the worst part—

I wasn't the first one it had taken. And I wouldn't be the last.
