Turn Left.
3D Render by poullitocreateI really like creating brutalist places, and this is the first time I've modeled something organic. I'm pretty proud of how the giraffe skull turned out ^^
I used Blender to create this scene and had an idea for a story behind this single image.
I would've loved to make an entire animation, but my computer is really bad, so I'll just have this image.
The 3D girl scan was there to replicate the shadows that would be present in a scene like this, even though it's taken from a fisheye-lens POV.
What do you think of it?
The narrative behind the scene:
You have been dropped in by accident. It wasn't supposed to be you who went here. You have been given a bodycam so the guards can monitor you.
You are placed in front of a door, told to open it, and enter. It doesn't really matter—you don't have a choice anyway. The door opens onto a large hallway.
But it's a bit weird. The hall seems to be more of some sort of quay near an ocean, an ocean that seems to extend beyond the darkness of the place.
You continue walking as the guards seem to get nervous. You don't understand. This place is supposed to just contain, not attack.
You take a deep breath and start walking, trying to mentally prepare yourself for whatever you're going to have to deal with, for who knows how long.
The quay is made out of concrete, as is the rest of the structure. There are some bins surrounded by newspapers and cigarettes lying on the ground.
You can now see the end of the quay more clearly. It's a large wall representing the entrance, and a neon light seems to be coming out of the top of the door.
Wait.
There isn't a door.
It's just a hole in the wall that leads into darkness.
You freeze, pointing at the hole and asking the camera why there isn't a door.
No response.
Of course there isn't. They got rid of the microphone for "security measures."
So you turn to the guards at the door. They don't move.
You repeatedly ask why there isn't a door, nearly shouting, your voice cracking.
You want to go back. You really don't want to go in.
What are you even supposed to do? How are you supposed to survive in such a place? What even is this place? Why are the instructions not as precise as they were in the introduction video?
You know you shouldn't, but you take a step back.
That's when they point their HK416s at you.
"FORWARD! MOVE FORWARD!"
Wait.
How is it that you know what an HK416 is?
Also, why is it that you know they are specialized firearms used by the DELTA FORCE?
You were never interested in that. Why is it that you know this now?
And why are the most important special forces in the US taking care of you?
Aren't these people supposed to be regular guards?
The one on the right turns to the one on the left, tells him something, and starts turning back toward the door, slightly panicked.
That's when a weird noise coming from the far end of the water can be heard.
That's when one of them screams toward the door:
"FUCK! SHE'S A CLASS Q! OPEN THESE DOORS! FASTER! FASTER!"
You turn back toward the black hole, not understanding what's about to happen.
You can't move. You're too panicked to even try to process what's happening.
But you hear a calm voice coming from near your left ear.
It feels like it's only two centimeters from your ear.
You could feel its breath.
But there isn't anything there.
"Turn left."
That's when you see it arriving at full speed.
