Japanese battleship Musashi
3D Render by grafkdesignerOne of two of the most powerful battleships ever built, Musashi was commissioned in August 1942. She, like her sistership Yamato, carried 18.1-inch guns and up to 32,000 tons of solid armor plating designed to withstand the impact of 18-inch shells. She didn't have much of an active career, and was sunk by US Navy carrier aircraft at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, October 24, 1944. Hit by 20 torpedoes and 17 bombs, she sank over four hours after the attacks ended. The model used was created by Max Romash.
