I spent a while creating a character, choosing the pose, adding something to lean on(which was different than my usual). I got the look. I knew where the lights needed to be. It all fit, and I could envision every pose and movement in between like a full video. It's the moment of creation I crave. I ran a test render, was happy, and went to bed.

The next morning my PC had restarted thanks to Microsoft being Microsoft. And I had not saved the character. Everything was gone. I don't remember the % of what morphs, or what color temp I set the lights and at what angle. But it's ok. That's the impermanence of the universe.

Moral of the story: save your scene regularly, or be ok with it disappearing.
