During the golden age of Hong Kong cinema in the 1980s, there was a horror genre depicting Southeast Asian black magic. One of the most potent and tormenting curses was the Flying Head Curse. In a full moon night, the black magic practitioner would perform an elaborate ritual. Upon completion of the ritual, the head of the practitioner would detach from the body and fly off to exact revenge on practitioner's enemies. The flying head is immune to physical damage and can deal great damage to his enemies. However, the head must return to his body before sunrise, or else the practitioner will die. This is a highly risky curse. Only a desparate and evil practitioner is willing to attempt it.
