Back Then in London
3D Render by tmajI like nice things. And this is one of them... The Leaky Cauldron, Harry Potter, the Knight Bus – I’m a bit crazy about all of it. And this collage was created precisely because of that. A little tribute to its creators.
At the heart of it all stands the bus—my own creation, just as I envisioned it, without any attempt to produce a perfect replica. It is slightly stylized, yet I believe it retains its essential character. Everything is set within a beautifully modeled London environment, which is part of the product *The Streets Of Old London* (https://www.daz3d.com/the-streets-of-old-london).
The beautiful, almost magical moon is by Khoshekh, while the ground-hugging haze—the fog—comes from the workshop of MartinJFrost (https://www.daz3d.com/martinjfrost), whose work I am so fond of, and whose perfection I truly admire.
Inside the bus, in the driver’s cab, is a slightly modified version of the Ollie 8 character (https://www.daz3d.com/ollie-8)—complete with HD add-ons (https://www.daz3d.com/ollie-8-hd-add-on)—and sporting a hairstyle ("Georgie Hair and Brows for Genesis 3 & 8 Male(s)") that seems tailor-made for the character of Ernie. He is holding a sandwich (by creator ironman13: https://www.daz3d.com/i13-sandwiches) and wearing a uniform (https://www.daz3d.com/inspector-uniform-for-genesis-8-males) that I have slightly modified—specifically, by changing its textures. The character Stan, located in the back of the bus, wears the same uniform; he is a modified and converted version of the character Rhys (https://www.daz3d.com/rhys-for-genesis-3-male). Stan is highly detailed and features various small accessories—such as a ticket machine, a bag, a cap (which I customized with specific details), buttons, and other elements—all of which I created myself.
All of this is complemented by a host of unnamed—yet significant—details included in an effort to remain faithful to the original film (do you recall that small detail involving a collision—with a Citroën, if I remember correctly—in front of the inn?). Then there is the character of Harry—though he plays only a minor role here—complete with his suitcase. As for the textures, I used some absolutely perfect ones by aglassdarkly (I hope he doesn't mind)—though I can no longer recall exactly which ones they were.
