The goal of this piece was to convey the contrast between beauty and the internal ugliness we hide underneath our external shell.
A beautiful woman peeling away her own flesh in a nursery is meant to represent the idea that what we see on the outside doesn't always reflect what's underneath.

We spend so much time maintaining how we're perceived by others, while hiding the parts of ourselves that we don't want people to see.

The character was created in Character Creator 4 (CC4) and imported into Blender, where I handled the texturing and posing. I used assets from Sketchfab and BlenderKit to build the environment.

For the flesh-peeling effect, I experimented with Blender's newer Cloth Dynamics node in Geometry Nodes. I developed a setup using an Empty as a control point to manipulate the hanging flesh during the simulation. There weren't any tutorials covering this specific approach, so much of the process involved experimenting and figuring out how to get the effect working as intended.
