For this render, I imagined an alternate timeline of the original Alien, where three Xenomorphs have already invaded the Nostromo before Ripley realizes what's happening.

Still wearing her sleeping clothes, a terrified Ripley hides inside a cabinet, covering her mouth to avoid making any noise. Nearby, a classic Xenomorph drone patrols the area, an injured Xenomorph descends from a ventilation shaft with acidic blood dripping from wounds left by a Yautja net, and a human-Xenomorph hybrid seems to be staring directly at her hiding spot.

To make matters worse, Ripley's weapon is about to fall, potentially revealing completely her location.

For the lighting, I took inspiration from A24's cinematography, using red background lights and blue side lighting instead of the usual darkness of Alien. I wanted the horror to come from clearly seeing the danger surrounding Ripley and how vulnerable she is.


NOTES:

I was planning to use the scarred xenomorph on the front but after some though the hybrid looks more intimidating and grotesque.

The render was made in cycles and the post processing part was also made in blender with blenders 5.1 new compositing nodes.
