This incredibly gorgeous young girl
walks into the local bar.
She carries her guitar case in one hand.
Stops and eyes the crowd.
It's early in the afternoon
Just a few are there, mostly men.

The bar owner doesn't look too pleased.

- Hey "Blondie"!
Take your show elsewhere, will you?!
Last time you performed
my bar was almost wrecked!

- I can't help that guys are fighting over me.
Last time I checked,
it wasn't a crime being cute, or is it?!
Besides, I sing for nothing.
I'm just practicing for the big break.
It will come in the near future.

She winks her eyelashes
and give the bar owner that irresistible smile.
His sigh echoes all over the bar. Still he lets her in.
She reminds him, almost a bit too much,
of his daughter who passed away in leukemia years ago.
So he's got a soft spot for her, despite all.

She orders a glass of wine.
The bar owner serves her,
then leans over and says in a whispering voice:

"This one's on the house. But don't get too used to it, OK"?!

She flashes a big smile, while looking over her shoulder.
There he is, the first guy who's about to hit on her this evening.
There will surely be more before the evening's over.
Hopefully they won't start a fight over her, like the last time.
Slowly she downs her glass of wine.
Opens up her guitar case and picks up the instrument.
Once she starts to sing, everyone gets silent.
You can almost hear a pin drop to the floor.
Everyone is so taken by the sound of this angelic voice.

Suddenly the pulse of the male audience
is increasing by minutes passing.
They all want her so bad,
but she's known for being very choosy.
It's not just anyone who gets to walk her home.
Those who get to it, they never forget about it.
