Robby the Robot
3D Render by phantom11I built this in 3ds Max some time ago, and haven't gotten around to doing anything with him since then. He's an older format model for Max, so I've imported him into blender and will see if I can get him set up in there. He's not rigged, but can be animated. I actually used the original blueprints for Robby as an overlay while building him, so I'd be sure to get the proportions right. That seems to be a problem most artists have when trying to re-create him. I think he's the most accurate 3d model out there, right now.
Love it, being an old Sci-Fi fan. Did you do "Robot" from the old "LOST IN SPACE" TV show?

Sun, Jan 08, 2023Thanks! No, there was already an excellent model of the B-9 Robot from Lost in Space by XCalpro, so I decided to do one of good ol' Robby, his predecessor. 
Great work and yes, it most definitely is Robby!

Mon, Sep 25, 2023Thanks very much! I'm hoping to eventually get him in Blender and do a few upgrades to the model, including porting over to DAZ Studio so I can do some more images with him.
