On Chaaxa, High Priestess/Empress Ataxa's home world, the ancient laws decree that upon reaching the age of 21, the Heir to the Throne will become the new ruler. Upon ascending the Throne, the new ruler must produce an heir. This heir must be pure of Royal Blood and Royal DNA - interaction with a commoner to create an heir is expressly forbidden as it will pervert the purity of the Royal Line.

Therefore, the new monarch must create the new heir asexually in the ancient Ritual of Seclusion.

When the new heir has been created it is placed suspended in a liquid-filled incubator which serves as its womb where its growth and development are constantly monitored electronically. When it is fully developed both physically and mentally it is then "birthed".

The teen alien GD Baergit, as this new heir is to be known, is about to be "birthed" while her mother, High Priestess/Empress Ataxa, waits.
