As much as I loved Star Trek, the one thing I couldn't get over was the design of Enterprise. Her upper hull is a separate part of the ship, circular in shape and yet so easy a target. The same thing for her engines. An enemy ship would have no problem blowing them off into space. Yes, the entire ship has protective "armor" in its shields, but how many times (and in how many movies) have we seen those shields' strength decimated down to nothing?
Compare her to the space battleship Yamato - now there's a ship that's not so easily defeated!
Otherwise, notwithstanding discussing naval architecture, a beautiful piece of art!
