Grumman F-14D Tomcat T02a
3D Render by Dreamscape StudiosThis model
was built very near to scale and is fully textured. Model has
animateable leading edge wing slats, flaps, stabilizations, rudders,
turbines, canopy open/close, landing gear extend, landing gear doors,
wheels and some cockpit controls. Details include modeled cockpit,
controls, turbines, engine exhaust and much more. The model comes in 10
different formats. Cockpit canopy opening is animated.
Models with squadron liveries do come with sidewinder, sparrow and
Maverick missiles, pylons and additional textures for these. Models are
posted with three liveries including the 1970s bright colorful large
marking paint schemes, 1980s less bright and more subdued color paint
schemes and also the 1990s drab fully subdued paint schemes. All three
liveries will be of a single identified squadron.
One model High Poly "HP" is built without landing gear, without all the
cockpit detail and some other details. Model HP polygon count is 139909
and vertices count is 75708.
The second model Very High Poly "VHP" is complete with landing gear,
landing gear doors and a lot of cockpit detail including panels, dials,
displays, toggles. Model VHP polygon count is 261051 and vertices count
is 139761
The bare metal version of this model comes with no
missiles, missile launch pylons or fairings, it comes with strictly a
single bare metal scheme for use in customizing paint liveries by the
user.
The Grumman F-14D Tomcat is a supersonic, twin-engine,
variable sweep-wing, two-place strike fighter. The F-14D is either a
remanufactured F-14A or new production aircraft, both equipped with
F110-GE-400 engines, new radar, and new avionics systems.
The first production F-14D was flown on February the 9th, 1990. The
aircraft can carry the short, medium and long-range air-to-air missiles
AIM-9, AIM-7 and AIM-54, and air-to-ground ordnance including the
Rockeye bomb and CBU cluster bombs.
