Sat, Apr 01, 2023I think the expression of the eyes. If you close the upper part of the image with your hand, the lowered corners of the lips can express not only sadness, but also hostility. If you look only at the eyes, they fully convey the mood of the character.

Wed, Apr 05, 2023Thank you. I love the way she turned out. This image sparked an idea for a short story I'm currently writing called "The Old Gods", featuring Danni here as a young peasant girl living in a kingdom where women are treated like worthless pets.
Basically, Danni with her heartbreaking expressions forfeits her life for an audience before the king to make him aware of the living conditions of his kingdom. She lets him know that everyone is praying to the Old Gods for help and if he doesn't change his ways he'll be sorry. After the king laughs at her declaring the Old Gods are dead, he executes her by feeding her to a terrible creature living beneath the floor of his court (Star Wars, I know. lol). It is then revealed that Danni is in fact the Goddess of Light incognito. She then quickly destroys the royal family and all it's followers with the exception of the king. He is shrunken to a tiny man and kept in a cage next to the throne where the new queen (his former slave) now sits.
Somehow all of that came to me after rendering this image. I may need to see a psychologist. lol Anyway, glad you like her.
