3D Render by neishajaneMy version of Akasha from Queen of the Damned. I decided to let her hair down in this version (and I also liked that she set people a blaze, which is why I made the fire).
I prefer hair down myself... there's no self respecting vampire who sits around braiding her hair like a rich putz.LOL

I like how you made the flames curl around her fingers. I know that flames are tricky, and I could imagine them to maybe look a bit less painted with a bit of blur and some smoke?

I didn't think the fire looked painted on... The smoke may be a bit harder because I haven't found any Daz3d products to create that smoke, but I may be able to blur the fire.

Thu, May 11, 2023There are some useful but expensive smoke props for candles (I think Kindered Art offers them), and some VDB stuff. I found it easier to postwork the smoke - you may want to look at Ron's Products (formerly known as Diviney). From what you write I gather that you rendered the flames (as opposed to postworking them). I suspect that postworking them in (again Ron's stuff might help) would have been easier. This is not meant as a critique, rather a suggestion, though.
Hmmm... I for one... ahem.. *koff koff* woulda darkened the fire texture, but I'm human so

That's okay its not normal fire anyway. And there's no fire rules. Make the fire you want. Don't listen to people who put stuffed animals on their profiles, the only key they have is the key to the uhhh.. shitehouse/
