The Wreck of the El Faro

The bartender leaned forward on the bar and his face dropped a bit as he looked across the wonderers shoulder at the table in the corner and then he spoke quietly in his heavy, Irish accent.

"Shea comm's in ever nigh about 10'ish. Always takes thu conna table. Lads jus get up and move for huh."

He paused for a moment as if remembering a forgotten, sad memory as he watched her.

"Drinks till shea can't drink nuh mor then wunna thu lads takes her home."

"Bitch of a thing, when the lake swalla's yuh mate." He said and turned his gaze back to the wonderer.

"Why'd yuh ask anyways?" He asked a little suspiciously.

I started this as a lighting test and the more I worked with it the more I thought about drinking to loss and sorrow and then a spark ignited in my head and a memory of the recent story I'd read (granted late) of the sinking of the SS El Faro. Made a quick beer mug and froth for the scene and posed the DUD for it
