Concept for an action adventure game based on Jamaican Maroon societies.
Maroons resisted slavery by forming their own rural communities and fighting a guerilla war against European colonialists.
In Jamaica they fought against the British to secure their freedom and independence.
First Maroon War (1728-1740)
Second Maroon War (1795-1796)

This artwork depicts the aftermath of a slave revolt - instigated by a maroon raiding party - with our protagonist standing triumphantly in front of a burning plantation house illuminated by the flames.
