I did emergency dispatch in New Mexico for 5 yrs... got to meet the crew for the local medical helicopter... small crew of Doctor, nurse, and pilot. I asked the nurse what she wanted to do next and she laughed and shook her head.
"Are you kidding?!?!? They'll have to kill me to get me off this chopper."
Justlike me back then... real life adrenaline junkie

Somehow I am also attached to a helicopter. I was 8 years old and was able to visit a large demonstration of the Royal Navy. For example, a demonstration of the take-off of a helicopter was held. That right in front of me! I also saw the Chinook fly, what a mighty piece of engineering!

My silly father, when I was like...5? maybe? took me to an air field, and hired one of those old bubble front, open sides, helicopters... satme in his lap, sans seatbelt... and up we went. I can say that I have a fear of heights.... a very STRONG fear of heights, so though I can't remember what I felt, I"m sure it was something akin to ... "OHMYGODDON"TKILLME !!!"
You'd have loved some of the air stuff we would see a lot of in NewMexico.... Once I had a B2 bomber on a skirmish practice go over my vehicle at about 50 ft, turning, .....then 20 seconds after came two fighters trying to catch him.. I think. that was... interesting.
