Part of a very simple series I'm working on to help block out characterwork.

Fae emerged in earnest after the Fourth Great Shift, when those humans sheltering in the Greensea were infected with magic and trapped on the continent. Their pointed ears help pick out important frequencies amongst the cacophony of the deep forest; their lithe bodies are adapted to the heat of the fernets; their bodies pulse with parafernetia. They are short lived, but incredibly smart and skilled with magic, wrapping their fragile forms in a constant shield of bolsterment. The loose, flowing garbs they wear are weaved with elerin silk, able to conduct this potent magic to increase their reach.
