Kora’s heart pounded in her chest as the hum of the starship’s engines resonated through the metallic corridors. She had barely made it, slipping aboard the massive vessel just moments before it departed from the dusty, crime-ridden planet she had called home for the last five years. Now, she was inside, and the reality of her situation was sinking in: she was a stowaway on a starship bound for destinations unknown.
