History Lesson
3D Render by maru_berlinVanishing Point's Robot Avenger immediately reminded me of the first Avatar movie showdown scene.
Used Raw Art's Dokkalfar character together with a blue skin from another character, Strangefate's Tribal Stuff and some torso streching and musculature morphs to recreate some likeness of the Na'vi.
First thought to make this a sketch or painterly style (yeayy, the free Fotosketcher Program got an update!), but then decided to just play a bit with light effects in PS.

Yah the Avatar movie is a lesson for us all. Sometimes you just gotta smash the living bejeszus out of the invaders. Very cool render. Have yet to see the second movie.

Tue, Apr 22Me too, unfortunately missed it on the cinema screen, and the whale scenes I had a glipse of in the trailers make that recommended.

Sat, Nov 22In my opinion, this is how the sequel to Avatar could have begun. Unfortunately, I found the story in the second part a bit thin. And now that the third part is coming out, hopefully the filmmakers have done a better job, but the reuse of the antihero in part II and his survival at the end do not bode well for much improvement. Nevertheless, it's certainly a good reason to go back to the local cinema.
