So I was scrolling through Reddit and noticed a lot of post that were about female centuar's but there was something perculiar about the images posted. That's when I realised they were made with A.i, upon asking why the posters had used A.i instead of hiring an artist they responding saying they were repost from someone else. I finally contacted that someone else and that individual said that they used A.i cause they don't know where to find an artist that makes female centuar art. So I made this render using Daz Studio Nvidia Iray and just Nvidia Iray, no photoshop and no lightroom enhancements. So I made this unedited reder to showcase that there are plenty of artist available for making such work, myself included they just need to check the forums.
As artist it's easy to lose hope or get anry about A.i copying our artwork, but I personally find it easier to just contact people using A.i and try to find out if there's a way to help them consider hiring an artist for their project instead. If it's just hobby art then I get using A.i but it's a commercial project I think it's best to hire an actual artist that could entale 2d Digital painter or 3d artist. Anyways after making the render I then decided to make some other poses involving centuar's posing for photo's one involve's archery and the other is this one. The pose set will offcourse be released for free cause it only has three poses, why two? Well I got distracted and ended up playing Clash of Clans all day. Getting distracted is a serious weekness of mine but on the bright side anyone who is interested in the pose set can get it for free.

The matter is simple, now everyone can use AI, so why look for an artist? as regards your image it is very nice, if I can give you some advice, when you put your hands near a face or body, zoom in and go to check carefully you will avoid clippings, if you check 4 fingers of the right hand are inside the horse's face, it happens to me too when I'm in a hurry, you can apply the mane and facial hair to the horse for a better result, I don't speak English, maybe not everything will be understood well, sorry

Understood, as for the hands clipping and the lack of hair on the house I eventually noticed it later but had already reached 80% of the render in Iray so it was too late to turn back.

The main reason for hiring artist is some projects such as comics and games lose value if the audience finds out A.i is used for making the art. Some potential clients especially modern gamers nowadays due to the current unfavourable economy start asking why should I pay for the game/comic if the creator didn't even bother paying an artist.
There's also the fact that if A.i is used the game/comic is filtered out by itch, steam, patreon and various other commercial platforms that don't like ai art due to the copyright violations and strikes that are incurred by companies/websites that led users post ai art.

Mon, Jul 01, 2024Your reasoning is right, but unfortunately personal experience tells me otherwise, the big platforms have no interest in artists, they are only interested in profit, look at deviant we no longer have space, they earn with AI, they have no interest for artists who invest their time in creating a work, dazstudio also has its AI, so without effort everyone will make a good impression by penalizing those who dedicate hours to a project, before, I often sold works, now except for my subscribers it is rare and I can assure you that the average user runs after jobs done with AI

Mon, Jul 01, 2024That's down right depressing especially since people who pay for A.i psy less money than people who pay for handmade art. But then again I guese it's inevitable in a world where people value making money money over helping people.
