3D Render by Beautiful MisfitsBought some glowing mushrooms, not paying attention, that they were for Carrara.
Well, no problem, bought it years ago ... but, those mushrooms don't work in older versions.
So, it was on sale, I got the newest version.
Honestly, not sure, if I will keep all this, Carrara and the mushrooms.
But *darn* it looks nice ...

I was working with Carrara too some years ago. Unfortunately, DAZ doesn't maintain it and the development has been stopped... The product is dyning now!
The UltraScenery products have been developped by Howie Farkes who conceived nice products for Carrara before migrating to DAZ Studio. Since DAZ Studio has the IRay renderer now, Carrara is really becoming obsolete, at least as a rendering environment.

Well, is there anything they maintain? Until now, most of the time, things the "maintained" got worse and Bryce, they almost destroyed it
If I could get the mushrooms into studio, believe me, I would ask for a refund for carrara.
Maybe Howie Farkes will do it with the mushrooms one day

Wed, Jul 03, 2024I think it could be possible to port the scene from Carrara into Daz Studio.
There is no big replication of objects so it might be possible to export the scene into an OBJ file. The difficulties come from the shaders that are completely different between Carrara and Daz Studio. If the product has some maps, you'll have to reuse them an recreate the full shaders into DAZ Studio.
Anyway it's a huge work and you won't get exactly the same scene. But that's a kind of challenge that's worth trying it...

Not so sure if it's worth to use all the time, easier to just render it in Carrara *lol* and keep all as it is

Turned out really nice! I have not used that program in years! I was more focused on Vue.

Tue, Feb 11Hi, the product is "Darkwald" by Howie Farkes, at the moment still available at Daz. It is a Carrara version, Howie hasn't done a conversion for DS yet, as far as I know.
Personally, I have Carrara and I love it. Sad that it has not been updated for too many years. But It still is my app of choice, and all of Howie Farkes' stuff is great stuff.

Tue, Feb 11There is also a "Darkwald - Bundle" with the base product you see here, and also Fire and Ice versions. Veeeery nice.
