3D Render by MjrkA test with Benita for G8. The figure has her own set of vellus hair, so i had to try this also.
The „depth of field“ didn’t work at all, not per hand and not with the script- hmmm!?
Perhaps I don’t understand the technique right.
Anyway - i like this figure and the rendering.

Here my unasked 2c of thought: to see DoF better it probably needs some background that changes when blurred - yours just consist of a colour where it doesn't show that much. Maybe this helps:

But seriously: the problem was, the f-stop was over 1100 and the far away stop was ca. 176. Usually a hint that this won't work.
I just wanted the center of the face to be be sharp and her right edge of the face already in the un-sharp zone.
Not only the background. And as I wrote - the script wasn't helpful at all.

beautiful portrait of an aged character. Use blender for depth of field, it works perfectly

Mon, Oct 07, 2024I'm a blender user and it is very powerful now. I understand you can't use it very well with an old mac. I've been short of idea and i've not created anything for a long time now. In fact, I play a lot.
