I totally agree with the protection of children and the abuse that can be represented by computer-generated images. And if the rules of the site are clearly established, it is normal that they are respected.
On the other hand, computer-generated images are also used to express ideas, feelings, visions of our world. And I don't think that this picture is particularly degrading or unhealthy towards children. Personally, I don't think we should ban childhood in art, or else let's burn everything related to Harry Potter or Lewis Carroll's books.

Tue, Nov 19, 2024Non, non, il ne faut certainement pas oublier ses idées ! J'ai personnellement fait beaucoup de progrès en essayant de reproduire des images ou des photos qui m'ont plu. Je suis d'accord qu'il y a la déception de ne pas forcément arriver à la cible de nos attentes mais cela apporte énormément !

Regarding "the stairway to …": It is a jpg on one of the surfaces of the prop, right? Do not answer if you think it takes too much of the magic away.

Tue, Nov 19, 2024Welcome back! And yes, the stairway is a picture textured on a plane. The tricky part is to get a light for the scene which is consistent with the light of the picture!
As I return occasionally here to have a look at this fantastic piece of art, I just wanted to comment quickly on your EDIT. The image is so beautiful and innocent, that originally, I wasn't even sure if I like it . Where is the evil clown? Why are the stairs going up, not down? And so on…Honestly, what happened on Reddit is pathetic. Fortunately, there are platforms that have more common sense regarding the freedom of artistic expression. To be sure, I quickly did inspect your gallery. Kids playing with cats should be OK.

My criticism of Reddit was not against their rules, which are the ones they want to implement, but a criticism of the implementation of rules that dispense with any thinking, which leads to stupid censorship.
When it comes to interpreting the image, I like to leave some uncertainty to allow the viewer to use their imagination and form their own vision.

I believe I recognized this from the Daz gallery too? Either way it’s INCREDIBLE!!! And that is frustrating about Reddit removing it. You did nothing wrong and yet, they pulled it.
