Having discovered KitBash3d's Minerva kit for a previous image, and being inspired by its use by Dofresh on ArtStation I thought I'd use it again, but on a bigger scale. The setup is similar to that Dofresh used because, well, I liked it. He has it more as a colony but I've decided to view it as a military base on a far off, cold and hostile planet, perhaps on the frontlines of some future war.

Another cold night has fallen and troopers, techs and mechanics are chewing the fat at the end of a long slow day...

Oooo looks like a huge scene file in Daz. My rig would probably crash just loading all that, let alone render it.

I've got that kitbash set. I'm just too lazy to convert the assets from Blender to Daz.

To be honest I use Cinema4D to set up and render my scenes, and even it struggled with this one a little. It's a bit of a laborious process transferring from Daz but I could never get the Daz/C4D Bridge thingy to work the way I wanted it, and I always had to tweak the textures anyway. I love Daz but it's too cumbersome for me and the render times are stupidly long...and I'm a bit impatient. I'm thinking of learning Blender this year at some point as I like the way it produces really good environments
