"The acrid dust and mold lingers heavy in the air, like smelling salts pungent enough to awaken them. Their eyes adjusting to the warm basement as the inversion causes the blood to rush to their heads. The last thing Darius and Stephanie remember was helping this odd fellow find his dog, they would never have assumed the man they were helping was in fact 'The Collector,' whom law enforcement agencies all described as the most prolific serial killer of all time. Leaving a jar with a single body part behind as his calling card, they unfortunately now see what he does with the rest of his victims."

An excerpt from a comic story I'm currently working on. Will they manage a daring escape or will they end up like the other jars on the collector's shelf?
