Delicious Devil (WIP)
3D Render by Pushee-RiA new project (in progress) from my "SPARKLING" series. This time no - or few - piercings ... but some nice jewelry accessories.
By the way, the .blend file is called "Cute Horns" ... but only horns were not enough for me, because something was missing on the chin.
"Delicious Devil" (DD) also fits quite well, doesn't it?
I am currently thinking about a special agreement for 2D artists. It's about creating, sharing, distributing and selling your own material presets as an add-on. What do you think?

Delicious? I would say CUTE, devilish cute
I think it's a good idea, could open the door for artists, that would otherwise never been seen, because of a missing name.

Tue, Jan 14Many thanks
Unfortunately, the problem is that you have to buy the main product before you can use add-ons. This could be frustrating for 2D artists (who are actually 3D artists - in this case only without modeling/sculpting) if nothing comes of it. Hmmm - will have to sleep on it ...

Tue, Jan 14That's how I started, buying a product I thought, it could be a often bought product and that it would be worth it, to create textures/materials/shader.
I couldn't had been more far away from the reality.
All add-ons are made often before the release of a product and if you're not with in the team (testing whatsoever) you don't have a chance.
Was in the team back the days with Antonia (ok she was for free anyway) but cloth, hair, shoes, all needed some add-ons and these were made by people in the team. And even there, a dress for example, tested from one or two and only those had the possibility to create textures.
The chance to make 2d add-ons that will sell are very limited.
I gave up, it was too expansive, buying the product, buying merchant resources, I paid instead of earning.
I worked with other 3d artists, payment the product itself, pretty good for me, but not everyone will be satisfied with that.

Tue, Jan 14Thank you very much for the insight
I was spinning my head last night/this morning (see the first sentence in my profile) trying to find a solution to exactly the problem you described: buying something to possibly, maybe, eventually earn some money (or at least recognition) with add-ons is kind of ... crap!
I think I need to have a chat with PasahRi (preferably after I've smoked a suppository like last time
In the meantime, I'll continue working on the project - keep you posted

It is true that today 2D artists cannot do it, I think it is a good idea to propose in the forum!
If there is enough demand a modification of the Product Manager will be made.

Tue, Jan 14Thank you ... but I think we are talking about different things
By 2D artists I mostly mean people who have nothing to do with 3D (modeling, sculpting, etc) ... but all the more with textures, shaders etc. for use with 3D objects. I think there is a special term for this.
Nevertheless - thanks for your comment

I think it is a great idea. I know over on another R store it was customary and expected to have a blank version of the texture map so users could texture their own designs. Obviously this wouldn't be to sell on within their own stores though.
There is never any harm in trying something new.
Also there are a few Daz artists that sell only texture packs for other artists clothing items. I understand that is more of an agreement between artist to artist but it is a similar principle.
Plus if you even get a handful of people that take you up on it, it is a nice way to promote your content further through others.

Wed, Jan 15Thank you very much - and nice to read something from you again
Well - the Rendos ... a club of their own
I'm glad I'm not there any more ... although it occurs to me that I could annoy them a bit again
Many thanks also for the tips and advice. After thinking about it several times (aka Pushee-Ris rotating brain), I have now (hopefully) found a good and fair solution.
Now I just have to finish the project
