Nice. I always wanted a necklace that could do that. Usually I'm lucky just to get them to hang around the reasonably!

Ultimately, it's all just a technical issue: the mesh is 2D (!) and below 0.2K. As a Dropable, the necklace is also not connected to the model, but is positioned so that it achieves the desired result during the simulation.
