I was wanting to create a natural looking image that could be mistaken for a photograph. I have a few new assets I wanted to play with, and this is what I came up with. So, I came up with three young military women taking a break on a hot day to grab a photo. Does it look more like a render, or a photo?

It's immediately a render to me, but the poses, expressions, lighting, are very close to a photo. Very well done!

I think it's something in the gloss skin layer that gives it away. I'll play around with it some more. I did like the natural poses as well as the lighting.

Somebody not looking at renders might have to have a second look, if this was a foto. For (even) more realism it would imho need different skins on the ladies (also with a few flaws), and the blur of the background would have to be further away from the characters. However, you are the master of perfect smiles, the expressions are top notch!

I think it was the gloss on their skin that ruined it for me. They all have very high textured skin with freckles and flaws, but when I added in the gloss layer to simulate sweat on a hot day, that seemed to vanish. Maybe I'll try again and remove that.
