Strike A Pose
3D Render by kssamI was wanting to create a natural looking image that could be mistaken for a photograph. I have a few new assets I wanted to play with, and this is what I came up with. So, I came up with three young military women taking a break on a hot day to grab a photo. Does it look more like a render, or a photo?
Assets used:
Marely HD for G9
MSO Peppa HD for G9
Willa 9
SU Urban Military Outfit
Zephyr Curles
ALO Eurybia Hair
HS City Braids

Render. A good render, but still a render.
But, we also have trained eyes for that sort of thing, too.

Sat, Feb 01, 2025I'll keep trying. maybe remove the gloss on the skin and add vellus to the bodies. I can get closer. lol Thanks for lending your trained eyes.
It's immediately a render to me, but the poses, expressions, lighting, are very close to a photo. Very well done!

Sat, Feb 01, 2025I think it's something in the gloss skin layer that gives it away. I'll play around with it some more. I did like the natural poses as well as the lighting.

Hey.... This is a picture. Not a render. I'm telling.

Somebody not looking at renders might have to have a second look, if this was a foto. For (even) more realism it would imho need different skins on the ladies (also with a few flaws), and the blur of the background would have to be further away from the characters. However, you are the master of perfect smiles, the expressions are top notch!

Sat, Feb 01, 2025I think it was the gloss on their skin that ruined it for me. They all have very high textured skin with freckles and flaws, but when I added in the gloss layer to simulate sweat on a hot day, that seemed to vanish. Maybe I'll try again and remove that.
