Summary:

She'd lost everything. She'd come back a shadow. She had nothing left to lose. Sometimes saving yourself is as simple as sitting down. He just might have the answers she's been searching for since the moment she died.

Extract from Ch: 6.

Amused, Leon considered and invited, "How about dinner?"

She glanced at him, surprised, and he shrugged, "There's a half-decent diner a few blocks down. We get a burger; we get dry. What do you say?"

Ten minutes later found them facing each other over a small table with red vinyl booths and bustling waitresses with big hair. They shared a plate of greasy fries, and Jill watched him devour a burger as big as a dinner plate.

Smiling, she shook her head, "Good?"

Created using DAZ Studio 4.22.1 using character, poses, props and environment which I searched for on the net and https://www.daz3d.com/shop. Setting up the scene was a new learning experience. Took 18000 seconds to render which I limited to.

No AI involved, just a lot of hours sitting on my backside.
