This is the Captain of a crew of sky pirates for a steampunk/gothic/fantasy TTRPG I'm running. Her crew is called "The Band of Scattered Light."

She's a vampyre. In this world, much of what is said about vampyres is propaganda, painting them as monsters in order to repress a minority. They prefer the night, but aren't allergic to sunlight. They're just natural predators. They also aren't bloodthirsty monsters, either. At least, not once the bloodlust period has worn off.

There hasn't been a vampyre "born" in 150 years prior to the opening of the campaign.

Besides those vampyres created through the sharing of the gift, there are also the "natural" vampyres. They are actually fae creatures, holding to strong traditions despite having been hounded nearly to extinction.

Emeline's crew is made up of a diverse cast of women. Some were rescued from a life of slavery, and the rest have found their way into her crew for their own reasons. She's in a relationship with her First Mate, though they keep it private.
