3D Render by NemmeseaRemoving your blood relatives from your life is like quitting smoking. Many people will call me a barbarian. "But how can you make such a comparison... Your family is your family."
My answer: Even though they are my parental family, it doesn't mean I should poison my life with them by my side. Just like with tobacco.
Reasons:
- They don't improve my life.
- I feel bad after being around them.
- I don't progress as a person when I'm around them.
- They don't understand anything about what's around me.
In the long run:
- I will feel better.
- I will gain quality of life.
- I will advance on my path.
- I will be able to start clearing my mind of: you're exaggerating, why would you do that, that's complicated, maybe...
Is it hard to do? Like quitting smoking...
You can't say to a cigarette: let's quit, because after contact with you I feel terrible. Absolutely nothing is going to happen, and neither will your family...
There are many types of families, and I've come to the conclusion that it's not worth all the pain.
