3D Render by MKDAWUSSAs I can feel the creative tank run dry, along comes this idea out of... somewhere. Took a bit to get right, a number of options to sort through, eventually thought this would do. It might not be a Render of the Week finalist (certainly ain't perfect), but I do think this came out looking nice. Might give this the desktop background treatment...

Mon, Mar 31I was initially going to try for something at night, but things got a bit too dark, so I opted for a late sunset, which I think gives a much better effect and look.

Mon, Mar 31I really like how the dusk lighting interacts with the other materials like the car paint, the models skin, and the material of her dress, Fantastic.
I think we all struggle against that "empty tank" now and then. You created something wonderful in spite of it.

Tue, Apr 01Thanks. And yeah, we all have those moments. It's not totally empty for me, but I can feel it running dry. Sometimes I wonder if it shows (beyond any lengthy gaps in uploads, when one really knows its empty!). With something like this one probably wouldn't have guessed. lol
Now that its warming up a tad I've been going out and smelling the grass the last 2 or 3 weeks so my render time has been down quite a bit.

Tue, Apr 01And for certain renders you can do all that while it processes the render. lol
Get everything in place, start the render cycles, check in after a few minutes, head on out and get things done.
But yeah, sometimes you get involved with other stuff and it ends up on the backburner. Been there before.
