This is an object I would like to sell on here, I'm just unsure if blend files keep materials in the file when you save and zip the file down.

If anyone can offer some insight I would appreciate it!

Unfortunately no real insight, but I have downloaded .blend files where the materials were OK. However, these were not texture maps, but only the normal settings. Do you have no possibility to test your zipped file e.g. on another PC?

Not really, my brother has blender but his version of it is older than mine. I don't know if i can upgrade his for testing, I may have to ask someone else to test it.

That is good to know on the other hand that blend file materials tend to be okay, I used regular materials no textures.

You can install several versions of Blender " side by side ". I would suggest searching for the steps. In short, instead of the installer, download the .zip file, create a new directory and unzip the .zip into the new directory.

Thank you! my bf pulled through and he was able to confirm the materials and etc were still in the file.
